This short documentary examines how our digital devices have become deeply embedded in everyday life. Recently, public attention has shifted toward the consequences of prolonged screen time as the effects have become impossible to ignore. At the same time, a growing wave of lawsuits are bringing these addictive designs into public scrutiny. As legal challenges, scientific research, and public awareness begin to converge, society is beginning to question the systems that quietly govern our behavior. This film questions how these technologies affect us and the human cost of their design.

Cinematography by Julia Hunter

Interviews with educators and community members illustrate the undercurrent of our digital lives. Visual effects and experimental cinematography translate abstract concepts like addictive design, attention hijacking, and cognitive overload. This film takes a non-narrative approach in understanding research and legislation regarding screentime.
